Play and Youth Club Worker - After School £8.21/ph - FTE £15,369.12 (Pro-rata £2,115.44)
Hours: 38 week contract, working Mondays and Thursdays (term time only) from 3pm til 6pm
White Lodge supports disabled children, young people and adults, families and carers in Surrey and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for an exceptional Play and Youth Club Worker to support members in accessing a range of play and leisure activities at our After School Club, called MASC. MASC runs every Monday and Thursday during term time as Manor Mead School in Shepperton (Surrey). The Play and Youth Club Worker will need to be available to support each session during the school term time table. The role of a Play and Youth Club Worker requires an individual who can engage positively with children and young people. The Play and Youth Club Worker will be enthusiastic and shall bring such fun to MASC; ensuring all members enjoy themselves in a safe environment. The Play and Youth Club Worker will believe in the organisation's vision in delivering a service that is inclusive, diverse and offers equal opportunities.
As a Play and Youth Worker, you must:
- Have experience with working with children/teenagers with disabilities
- Be able to plan and provide a variety or leisure activities
- Be an effective communicator
- Have enthusiasm to lead activities and develop the service
